FORT WORTH SWIFT ARMOR MEAT FACTORY

HISTORY & INFORMATION

This huge factory and slaughterhouse were built in 1903 right next to the Fort Worth Stockyards as it was a growing industry. The plant shut down in 1971, and left abandoned to rot. In 2016, demolition began on sections of the plant, taking down a majority of the buildings. All that is left is a couple of the main buildings that avoided demolition, along with the ghosts of the thousands of animals killed there, allegedly roaming the property not even realizing that they are dead. This land is on private property so you must have permission from the land owner to enter.
